Con Edison Storm Hardening

Various Locations In New York City

In preparation for possible future storms and flooding events Con Edison has hired M.Arch Architects in conjunction with Naik Consulting Group. Our work includes design and engineering for flood mitigation and disaster relief to three utility sub-stations within three boroughs of New York City.

Each site has unique strategies for safety and economical sensibility for the facility and the surrounding communities.

Use of BIM by M.Arch Architects accelerated communication between the different parties involved on the project. Our work involved design coordination and placement of flood prevention technology originally designed for the space industry and used in this project as new materials repurposed for rapid flood prevention deployment.
