
New Amsterdam Theatre
M.Arch Architects was hired by the New York City Economic Development Corporation to perform a comprehensive facilities analysis of the New Amsterdam Theatre. The work involved extensive studies of all the existing structural stystems, mechanical systems, fire safety, egress, electrical, lighting, vertical circulation, exterior and interior details of this historic Art Noveau landmark theatre. Our work coordinated members of the project team including NYC EDC, and lease holder Disney Theatre Corporation, with EDC consultant Hunter Roberts Construction Group. M.Arch provided a comprehensive facility building systems analysis including pricing and detailed schedule of suggested building upgrades.

Con Edison Storm Hardening

In preparation for possible future storms and flooding events Con Edison has hired M.Arch Architects in conjunction with Naik Consulting Group. Our work includes design and engineering for flood mitigation and disaster relief to three utility sub-stations within three boroughs of New York City.
Each site has unique strategies for safety and economical sensibility for the facility and the surrounding communities.
Use of BIM by M.Arch Architects accelerated communication between the different parties involved on the project. Our work involved design coordination and placement of flood prevention technology originally designed for the space industry and used in this project as new materials repurposed for rapid flood prevention deployment.

Columbia University Campbell Sports Center

M.Arch Architects was hired by Pavarini McGovern to produce a building information model of Steven Holl's design for Columbia University's Campbell Sports Center. Our duties included reconstructing Steven Holl's designs into a 3 dimensional building information model, management and coordination of the BIM integrating and building all the systems including the structure, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical components in a comprehensive 3D BIM for the University facilities department

Highline Park Competition
New York, New York
The City Planning Commission of New York and the Friends of the Highline awarded our competetion entry with an honorable display in Grand Central. Our design focussing on the 10th Avenue corridor is concurrent with the rezoning of the West Chelsea adopted by New York City Planning in 2003.

Newtown Creek Waste Treatment Center

M.Arch Architects was hired by NAIK Consulting Engineers to perform services for Schiavone Construction for the purpose of making a 3 Dimensional Building Information Model for all the supporting concrete and structural reinforcing required for the $.5B Newtown Creek Waste Treatment Center. The Newtown Creek Waste Treatment Center is among the world's largest industrial revitalization projects.

Merrick Academy Proposal
Queens, New York
Merrick Academy is a 400 student charter school located in Queens borough who hired M.Arch Architects for the feasibility study expanding the student population by 30%. The school's question centered around an intense study of the existing facilities located in a half dozen buildings in which the school had grown beyond its means. The plan and presentation presented to Merrick Academy board of directors and Victory Schools Management proposed a two year occupancy plan of growth and planning for a future facility.

Columbia University Audubon Medical Research Center
New York, New York
M.Arch Architects founder March Chadwick duties as architect for Davis Brody Bond included Design Development, and Construction Documents of Columbia Unversity's Lurie Cancer Research Center properly named the Audubon Medical Resarch Center from the historic nature of the building site. The buildings interior design, landscaping, and coordination of systems engineering were all part of the the project scope as well as communication with building department officials.

The building design incorporated features of the surrounding urban context and the gothic features of the existing university campus. The design for the new building included over street walkway connecting other campus buildings.

M.Arch Architect's March Chadwick duties as architect for Davis Brody Bond were to provide sketches clarifing design intent and supervise construction of the 42nd Street Library South Court Addtion comprising of training rooms, ampitheatres, glass skylight + stair case, loading dock, staff offices and lounge within Landmark Carrol & Hastings marble courtyard.
