New Bowery Hotel and Urban Farming Lab

Located in lower Manhattan within the Little Italy district the lower Bowery; historically known as the kitchen supply house and lighting supply for New York City.

After thoughtful research and hours of meeting with Manhattan community board 3 citizens the M.Arch team worked with creative hotel designers arranged a unique kitchen design. The concept grew to a proposal of actually farming produce onsite with hydroponic technologies and LED lighting.

Working with Manhattan community board 3 our team pushed for building bonuses and rooftop additions benefitting the hotel, ownership, restaurant, sustainable education, and a healthier more nutritious community.
