M.Arch Architect produces a set of drawings that include all pertinent information required for the contractor to price and build the project: drawings, diagrams, illustrations, schedules, catalog cutouts (cut sheets), manufacturer’s installation pamphlets, and other data or information specifically assembled and prepared to illustrate all the portions of the work on a project.
M.Arch Architects creates drawings to explain the fabrication or the installation of the items to the production, as the final word as to how the work should proceed and supersedes the architectural plans, and examines them for conformance with the design concept of the project and for compliance with the specifications of the contract documents.
Thus, approved shop drawings will always carry out the original intent of the plans.
