Temporary Public Assembly Permits
A Temporary Place of Assembly Permit is required for temporary premises where 75 or more members of the public gather indoors or 200 or more gather outdoors, for a religious, recreational, educational, political or social one day event . A TPA is issued for events lasting less than 30 days. Temporary Place of Assembly Certificates of Operation are issued by the Department of Buildings (DOB) Borough Commissioner’s Office, and are approved on a case-by-case basis.
